An unknown German cultural history of a special kind | The history of the Nordhusia 1877 until the beginning of the 1970s in the context of the World Association of All Schlaraffia

This book is also intended to serve as a reminder of the culturally oriented men's association Schlaraffia Nordhusia and its history as part of the cultural history of the city of Nordhausen. At the same time, it is intended to counteract some prejudices, which are still preserved in many minds today via the Cockaigne Association. One of the widespread prejudices is the narrative presented as an accusation, that Schlaraffia is a secret society a la Freemasons. The association was never connected to Freemasonry, either spiritually or organizationally. This statement is not invalidated by this, that Cockaigne as individuals were also members of Masonic lodges, especially since such membership per se does not represent anything honorable. Digital review of the new one „Yellow series“

The Nordhäuser history- and antiquity association and the city archives have the in December 48. Band of „Yellow series“ published on the history of the region. There are now a few extras available online…

Der Dom zum Heiligen Kreuz Nordhausen

So lautet der Titel einer 96-seitigen Seminarfacharbeit von vier Nordhäuser Gymnasialschülern, die nicht nur eine sehr interessante Publikation schufen, sondern dazu auch einen sehr schönen Internetauftritt. In der Einleitung heißt es:

„Die Wurzeln des Domes reichen in eine Zeit zurück, in der Religion für viele Menschen an erster Stelle stand. Der christliche Glaube prägte den Alltag von fast allen Bürgern. Um ihren Glauben ausführen zu können, has been 961 das erste katholische Gotteshaus in der Burg Nordhausen erbaut. In diesem Bauwerk steckt eine über 1000-jährige Geschichte, das Wesen mehrerer Stilepochen sowie das beständige Zusammenwirken von Menschen gleicher Glaubensvorstellungen.

Wie Arno Wand haben wir uns über dieses großartige Bauwerk gefragt:
„Wer hat das gebaut? Wie alt ist das? Was weiß man über die Geschichte dieses Bauwerkes und über die Geschichte der Leute, die dieses Bauwerk auch genutzt haben? Es geht ja nicht nur um Architektur, sondern Steine leben ja auch. Dieses Bauwerk hat eine Geschichte und Menschen haben diese Geschichte auch gemacht.“

Deshalb beschäftigten wir uns in unserer Seminarfacharbeit ausführlich mit dem Thema: „Der Dom zum Heiligen Kreuz Nordhausen – ausgewählte historische, künstlerische und religiöse Aspekte aus touristischer Perspektive in einer audiovisuellen Online-Führung“.
